SPRINGDALE, ARK. — Tyson Cut & Ready chicken and IBP Cut & Ready beef and pork are being launched by Tyson Food Service. Cut & Ready products provide a great value by eliminating labor time while offering faster, more consistent prep results for scratch recipes, Tyson relays.

Four chicken products are included in the Cut & Ready line — diced breast meat, breast pieces, diced thigh meat and thigh pieces. The line also features four beef products — diced beef, steak strips, beef strips, and 4-oz. ranch beef filets — and one pork product, diced pork.

“We introduced the Cut & Ready line for those operators committed to continually cooking from scratch, but looking for food prep solutions in an economy where it is critical to control food and labor costs,” said Rodger Starnes, vice-president of food service marketing and customer development, Tyson Foods Inc. “Cut & Ready products are uncooked and flavor-neutral, allowing operators to menu them in their signature dishes, and are precut to minimize knife work, which speeds up prep.”

These uncooked products fill a gap between raw whole-meat products and fully-cooked and cut-up meats, he added. From entrée salads to ethnic specialties, these meats simplify the preparation of a wide range of dishes because they are flexible enough to work with any recipe profile, according to Tyson.
