The floor tile design is inspired by the image of scattered maple leaves. The restaurant also features plenty of red and plaids, art work featuring the maple leaf and a hockey stick door handle to pay tribute to Canada’s most popular sport.

Tim Hortons will be offering many of its classic food and beverage products in China, but the company also is launching new food and beverage items unique to the market, including basil chicken, coldwater shrimp and Montreal style beef sandwiches and chicken Caesar laffa wraps.

The China location is the first of 1,500 that will be opened in the country over the next 10 years, according to the company. Tim Hortons now has more than 4,800 locations in Canada and around the world including the United States, Mexico, Europe, the Philippines, the Middle East and now China.
