WASHINGTON – The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced a recall of 222,915 lbs of ready-to-eat (RTE) salad products containing meat and poultry at Ready Pac Foods Inc.’s facilities in Swedesboro, NJ, and Jackson, Ga. The products contain a salad dressing that is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that was recalled by the producer, Lighthouse Inc., due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The dressing contains anchovies, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label.
The problem was discovered when Ready Pac Foods was notified by Lighthouse Inc. that a shipment of ranch salad dressing was inadvertently misbranded and may contain Caesar dressing with anchovies.
The RTE salads were produced from Aug. 27, 2021, through Sept. 19, 2021, and were shipped to retail and DOD locations nationwide. The products subject to the recall can be found on the following spreadsheet.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
