CLAREMONT, N.H. — North Country Smokehouse announced the addition of two sugar-free, paleo-friendly bacon products on Nov. 12.
The first is an Organic Applewood Smoked Sugar-Free Bacon. This item is USDA Certified Organic, smoked with applewood and comes in an 8-oz. package.
North Country also released its All-Natural Sugar-Free Fruitwood Smoked Bacon. This product comes in 12-oz. packages and is smoked with Fruitwood for more than 10 hours.
"We're excited to bring two new sugar-free bacon options to the market. Through our extensive R&D efforts, we ensured that these products pack the same flavor as our award-winning bacon, while aligning with the preferences of the health-conscious consumer," said Aaron Corbett, COO, North Country Smokehouse. "We're also proud to continue our commitment to animal welfare standards by providing USDA Organic and Certified Humane smoked meat options for consumers."
Each North Country product is handmade and slow-smoked in small batches and does not use artificial flavors, filler or dyes. Both products are nitrate-, nitrite- and antibiotic-free.
The company guarantees the product is sourced from animals that are Certified Humane. These animal welfare standards include sheltering livestock, access to resting areas, room to roam and engage in natural behaviors and no growth hormones.
