Goat bacon "butty" sandwich
Nothing beats a bacon “butty” in the morning.

Two brothers in Northern Ireland got the goat — and made bacon out of it. Brothers Charlie and Sandy Cole run Broughgammon Farm, a 48-acre farm in Ballycastle, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, that serves as home to 300 goats, according to the Western Daily Press.

Charlie Cole said Broughgammon Farm’s goat bacon became especially popular with shoppers at farmer’s markets. Goat meat is known to be lean and low in cholesterol.

Meat from sheep or goats — including fresh, chilled or frozen — imported to the United Kingdom in 2014 totaled £408,112,000, according to UN Comtrade data. UK exports of meat from sheep or goats in 2014 totaled £380,933,000.
