LENEXA, Kan. – Ceva Animal Health announced Gary Robertson will lead the company's new swine business unit as director.

Robertson is tasked with building Ceva's US swine division, which include product development, sales, marketing and technical services. Robertson has 15 years of experience growing swine product portfolios for animal health companies.

"Gary's passion and understanding of the market, along with his strong relationships in the industry, will help Ceva launch a successful swine business unit," said Craig Wallace, CEO and North American Zone Director. "Launching a swine division is imperative to achieving our goal of becoming a broad-based animal health company."

Before joining Ceva, Robertson previously worked for Zoetis (formerly Pfizer Animal Health), Fort Dodge Animal Health and Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Oklahoma State Univ. and is a past recipient of the National Agri-Marketing Association's Professional Development Award of Excellence.

"Producers and veterinarians don't currently associate the Ceva brand with swine health," Robertson said. "We are new to this market and I know it will take time for swine producers and veterinarians to get to know us. But I'm confident the industry will see our dedication to customers and our commitment to providing products and solutions that truly impact not only producers and veterinarians, but the industry as well."

Ceva currently supplies more than 50 countries with poultry vaccines. The company is investing in production, research and development of novel vector and custom vaccines. The company’s North American headquarters is in Lenexa, Kan.
