DES PLAINES, ILL. — CJ Logistics America announced plans to open a new cold storage warehouse in Gainesville, Ga.

Located in the Atlanta market, the cold storage facility will span 270,000 square feet with direct access to major highways and railways.

The facility will feature Alta EXPERT Refrigeration Systems and QFM blast freezing, the latest evolution in QuickFreeze technology. The blast freezing system brings products to desired temperatures in 24 hours or less. The cold storage facility includes three separate storage rooms for different product needs, including proteins, finished goods and bakery items.

CJ Logistics added that the warehouse will feature 30,000 racked pallet positions and an on-site USDA office and inspection room.
