Traditional product demonstrations, testing and new employee training on existing equipment are available at the new Forum Center, which also includes specialized Research and Development teams capable of working independently or in collaboration with customers’ development departments on new equipment designs, cooking and product handling processes, and recipe development efforts.

The Forum supports Handtmann’s filling, portioning and linking equipment design, manufacturing, testing and servicing operations for regional and multi-national industrial meat processing customers.

The new 20,000 sq. ft R&D and Training area features full-scale refrigeration capacity, large commercial freezing storage facilities and refrigerated meat preparation and processing rooms that include complete cutting, grinding, tumbling and injecting capabilities. Large cook and smoke houses capable of processing all varieties of products ensure efficient development activity. The full-scale kitchen with taste panels for use in final product evaluation allows The Forum the flexibility to function as a turnkey operation and a specialized R&D support service, based on individual client and project needs.
