RANDERS, DENMARK – Danish Crown, the largest pork processor in Europe, announced that the company is following the Danish government recommendations regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The company said that slaughter and production will continue for the rest of this week with a plan for the next two weeks to be released on March 13.

“Danish Crown is one of the companies that has a social responsibility to ensure that there are goods in stores,” the company said. “We will do so responsibly in relation to all employees in production, in our administration and, not least, our owners, the Danish farmers.”

During February, Danish Crown production was interrupted in China at its new Pinghu pork factory due to COVID-19.
