WASHINGTON – Maywood, IIIinois-based Morris Meat Packing is recalling approximately 515,000 lbs. of various raw, intact pork products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection and outside inspection hours, according to the US Dept. of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The problem was discovered when FSIS received an anonymous tip that the firm was producing products without the benefit of inspection.

The pork items were produced on Saturdays from Nov. 25, 2017 until Nov. 9, 2019. FSIS provided a spreadsheet that contains the list of products subject to recall.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 18267” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distributors and retail locations in Illinois.
