TUCKER, Ga. – US Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) and the USPOULTRY Foundation announced the addition of three new members to its research advisory committee.

 Lynn Bagley from Pitman Family Farms, Dr. Roy Brister from Tyson Foods and Dave Townsend from Pilgrim’s Corp. were all added earlier this spring.

 The group helps advise and assign funding for research projects that benefit the poultry and egg industry. The research advisory committee met in Atlanta recently to review the latest requests for funding. Each year, USPOULTRY awards around $1 million for industry research. Since its inception, more than $31 million has been allocated for research.

 Dr. Don McIntyre of Diamond V and Dr. Tom Frost of DSM Nutritional Products announced they were leaving the committee.
