CHICAGO — Robert B. Gravani, Ph.D., one of the country’s leading experts in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point programs and a professor of food science at Cornell University, assumed the role of president-elect for the Institute of Food Technologists on Sept. 1.

For more than 40 years, Dr. Gravani has been a member of I.F.T., has served on the board of directors and has participated in several other committees within the organization.

Throughout his career, Dr. Gravani has shared his food-safety expertise with food processors, food retailers, regulatory agencies, the foodservice industry and consumers, as well as students, through a variety of education and training formats.
