TROUTMAN, N.C. – David Van Hoose has been appointed president and COO of Case Foods Inc. Van Hoose, who served as president and COO at Case Foods from 2003 to 2008, succeeds Bill Lovette, who resigned from the company in December 2010.

“David was a strong leader during his previous tenure with Case Foods, and we are excited to have him back at the helm,” said Thomas Shelton, Case Foods founder, chairman and CEO. “We thank Bill for his leadership, as well, and wish him the best in the future.”


Van Hoose has more than 45 years in the poultry industry. Prior to joining Case Foods, he spent more than 14 years with Pilgrims Pride Corporation as president, CEO and COO. He also served as president of Pilgrims Pride Mexican operations and senior vice president over poultry processing. Van Hoose has served on the Case Foods’ board of directors since his election in 2003.

Van Hoose graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in poultry science. He and his wife reside in Georgetown, S.C.

With operations or offices in Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina, Case Foods is an integrated poultry processor engaged in producing, processing, marketing and distributing fresh and frozen poultry products along with the production of poultry breeding stock. It sells fresh, bulk-packaged, portion-controlled, marinated, partially cooked and individually quick-frozen bulk-packaged poultry products in whole, cut-up and deboned forms to wholesale distributors and foodservice customers. It also exports poultry products.
