MONETTA, SC – House of Raeford Farms is celebrating the completion of a new hatchery that officially will open June 22.

The new 63,000-sq.-ft. facility is fully automated to ensure high levels of biosecurity, quality control and operational analytics, the company said. The hatchery will employ 20 people and is expected to produce one million birds per week.

House of Raeford, based in Rose Hill, North Carolina, operates poultry plants in Georgia, Louisiana and South Carolina as well as North Carolina. The company employs 5,000 workers.
