Heinz Canada recalls additional baby food products.

OTTAWA, Ontario – The Canadian Food Inspection Service included additional baby food items to a previous recall by Heinz Canada.

The company is now recalling Heinz brand Sweet Potato & Beef Medley on spoilage concerns. This is in addition to the recall of Strained Chicken with Broth announced on April 15.

Heinz Canada is recalling both items because a small number of dented or popped safety caps were found. The company said the potential loss of seal resulting from a popped safety lid could cause spoilage. No illnesses have been reported.

The affected product includes 213 mL jars of Sweet Potato and Beef Medley bearing product date 2017AU04 and UPC 0 579050 2.
