OTTAWA, Ontario – Groupe Colabor Inc. recalled ground beef on concerns the product may be contaminated withE. coliO157:H7, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency reported.


CFIA said the agency is conducting an investigation that could lead to the recall of other products. There have been no illnesses reported in connection to the recalled ground beef. The products were sold to hotels, restaurants, institutions and daycare facilities in Quebec, according to CFIA.

The affected products include:

• Viandes Lauzon brand lean ground beef sold 2 x 2.5 kg bearing UPC number 33355 and product code of 12/11/13;
• Viandes Lauzon Extra Lean Ground Beef sold 2 x 2.5 kg bearing UPC number 33345 and product code of 12/11/13.
