GRANDVIEW, Mo. – Three workers at a Corbion plant suffered minor injuries after an early-morning explosion and fire.

Fire crews responded to the call at about 4:30 a.m. Workers already had evacuated the building. Three people were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.


Firefighters from departments in Grandview and Belton extinguished the fire within 20 minutes. The explosion blew out the east wall of the facility. The incident is currently under investigation.
