The company's spice supplier notified Morrison that the cumin used in a spice mix may have been contaminated with peanut allergens. There have been no reports of adverse reactions, FSIS noted.
The products were produced on Dec. 22, 2014, through Jan. 27, 2015. Items subject to the recall include various weight packages containing two or four pieces of “EL TORO COOKED PORK AND WATER PRODUCT”, and various weight packages containing two pieces of “VIDA LATINA COOKED PORK AND WATER PRODUCT.”
The recalled pork products bear the establishment number “EST. 17882” inside the USDA mark of inspection. “Use By” dates for the recalled products range from Feb. 27, 2015, to Mar. 29, 2015. The products were shipped to a distributor in Florida and contain lot numbers 356, 363, 002, 008, 015, 022, or 027.
