The plant is 135,200 sq. ft. and covers more than nine acres. OSI said the plant is positioned logistically to serve the company's growing customer base in the western United States. The plant will produce a variety of food products including vegetables, salsas and beans. The company is a longtime supplier of protein products to McDonald’s and operates over 50 plants in 17 countries.
“We are very excited to open this new production facility in Riverside to support our growing customer needs in the west,” said Kevin Scott, executive vice president - North America, for the OSI Group. “We have assembled a very strong team of experienced and knowledgeable people to produce high quality food.”
The staff currently includes 50 employees. OSI anticipates expanding the team as the business grows.
