LOUISVILLE – KFC has made snacking on the road more convenient with its Go Cup, a container that fits in a car cup holder with a snacker's choice of the chain's signature chicken along with potato wedges.

Customers can customize their Go Cups with a piece of Original Recipe Boneless chicken, a Chicken Little sandwich, two Extra Crispy Tenders, three Hot Wings or four Original Recipe Bites. KFC developed the Go Cup following market research that showed 53 percent of car owners age 18-32 would be more likely to eat in their cars if the food container would fit in a cup holder. Another 35 percent of respondents said they eat with one hand while keeping the other hand on the steering wheel.

“Today’s on-the-go snackers are going to love the Go Cup because it features awesome taste and great value, and in the ultimate portable package,” said Jason Marker, chief marketing officer for KFC US. “With the arrival of the extraordinary Go Cup, there’s no reason to settle for an ‘ordinary’ snack anymore.”

The Go Cup's design allows most of the food to sit above the rim of the cup for easy access, according to KFC. The Go Cup design was granted a US Design Patent in April, 2012.
