US comparable sales at McDonald’s were up 4.4 percent on affordability and the popularity of the McCafe beverages, including the Mango Pineapple Smoothie, and core products such as Chicken McNuggets and the breakfast program, the company said.
European comparable sales were up 4.4 percent on performance in the United Kingdom, Russia and Germany with premium beef and chicken options as well as the popularity of the breakfast options also driving growth. Also in July, McDonald’s said comparable sales increased 4% in Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa, led by performance in China.
