SABLẺ-SUR-SARTHE, FRANCE — French agri-food company Lambert Dodard Chancereul (LDC) announced plans to acquire Cargill’s Konspol brand and its Nowy Sacz, Poland, plant on June 7.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. LDC said the transaction is expected to finalize by the end of 2024.

Last year, the Nowy Sacz plant reached a consolidated turnover of €35 million ($38 million), according to the press release.

LDC said the acquisition is in line with the company’s international expansion strategy. Through the added brand and plant, the Drosed Group will be able to enter into the ready meals segment, which includes breaded products, burgers, sandwiches, tortillas and gyozas.

Currently, LDC operates 102 facilities, employs around 25,000 people and has a turnover of €6.2 billion ($6.7 billion). Specializing in poultry and fresh and frozen ready meal products, LDC’s presence expands across France, Poland, Hungary, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
