SOUTH HOLLAND, ILL. — Miniat Holdings announced the appointment of Garrett Olson as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Olson joins the executive team, reporting directly to Dave Miniat, chief executive officer of the company.

Olson brings 26 years of experience in various finance roles, most recently serving as the CFO of the Prepared Foods segment at Tyson Foods. He has consistently driven top and bottom-line performance throughout his career. His strategic focus on quality volume growth, revenue management, and cost-saving initiatives aligns with Miniat Holdings’ objectives.

A native of the western suburbs of Chicago, Olson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

In addition to Olson’s appointment, Miniat Holdings’ subsidiary South Chicago Packing LLC named Greg Evans the company’s new senior vice president general manager.

In his new role, Evans will oversee all aspects of South Chicago Packing's operations, including the Core Business and Consumer Brands. He will report directly to Matt Miniat, chief operating officer of Miniat Holdings LLC.

Evans joins South Chicago Packing with over two decades of experience in the food industry, coupled with a distinguished academic background.

Previously, Evans served as the senior vice president of sales and marketing at The Pictsweet Co. Before that, he held the role of senior vice president sales, North America at McCain Foods, where he gained deep insights into the food industry landscape.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Evans has served as a board director for two separate food industry trade associations, demonstrating a commitment to advancing the industry and fostering collaboration among industry peers.

Evans earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from Harding University.
