WASHINGTON — The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a public health alert on Feb. 27 for Nurture Life’s Chicken Parm with Super Veggie Spaghetti meal products due to a misbranding and an undeclared allergen.

The spaghetti component of the product contains egg white, a known allergen that was not declared on the product label. Nurture Life notified FSIS when it discovered during an internal audit that the ingredient was not declared on the label.

FSIS noted that a recall was not requested because the product is no longer available for purchase.

The chicken parm entrées were produced between Dec. 27, 2023, and Feb. 20, 2024. The following is subject to the public health alert:

  • 5.9-oz. tray with sleeve label containing “nurture life KIDS MEALS CHICKEN PARM WITH SUPER VEGGIE SPAGHETTI” with “enjoy by” dates ranging from Jan. 9, 2024, to March 1, 2024. 

The product packaging does not include a USDA mark of inspection. The items were sold online and shipped directly to consumers nationwide.
