GORDON, NEB. – Grass-fed beef producer Open Range Beef recently announced hiring two new people to help lead the executive team.

Tim Goodnight will serve as vice president of the company and oversee the live cattle operations for Open Range Beef’s Spring Lake Ranch with his knowledge of pasture-fed cattle and the use of technology to help create 100% grass-fed beef.

Goodnight works with supply partners who join with Spring Lake Ranch to raise world-class beef in the Sandhills of Nebraska. During his career, Goodnight worked as a ranger manager for the Turner Ranches. He specializes in grass-fed beef cattle and bison production along with expertise in regenerative agriculture systems, soil health and forage-based cattle genetics.

Other skills Goodnight brings to the position include more than 18 years of experience with large-scale production (1,000+), cow/calf, yearling, seed stock, and grass-finishing operations in Colorado and Nebraska. He’s also on the board of the Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition.

In the same announcement, Woochee DeLoach was recently hired as the chief financial officer for Open Range.

The company said DeLoach brings extensive expertise in financial management, regulatory reporting, insurance and risk management, fixed assets, and audits to her executive position.

In previous roles Deloach worked as vice president of finance at FPL Foods and finance manager for Starbucks’ Via Instant Coffee.
