WASHINGTON – Saint Charles, Minn.-based importer, Bellboy Import Corp. recalled approximately 551 lbs of frozen, raw pork products that were not presented for import reinspection into the United States, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on Aug.15.

The following products are subject to recall [view labels]:

25-kg/55.12-lb cardboard boxes of vacuum-packed packages containing Aurora brand “FROZEN PORK BELLY, SHEET RIBBED, SKIN ON” with production dates between 19/06/2023-26/06/2023 and shipping mark 308161 on the box.

The problem was discovered during routine FSIS surveillance activities. FSIS found that the products were not presented for reinspection.

The products subject to recall bear Brazilian establishment number “BRASIL INSPECIONADO 3548 S.I.F” inside the Brazilian mark of inspection. The items shipped to retail and restaurant locations in Minnesota.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ and restaurants’ refrigerators or freezers and urges any consumers who purchased these products to not consume them and said restaurants should not serve these products.
