MARSHFIELD, WIS. — As part of the Wenzel’s Farm 75th anniversary celebration, the small-batch hand-crafted meat snack company will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the longest meat snack stick.

Wenzel’s is partnering with Devro, a manufacturer of collagen casings and films, to create a casing that would be long enough and strong enough to set the record.

The company stated that the gigantic meat snack would receive an official measurement during its 75th-anniversary celebration on Aug. 19 with a Guinness World Records adjudicator to confirm that the record was set.

“We are very excited to be working on this Guinness World Records attempt, it is one of the many events that will be part of our 75th Anniversary celebration, and one that you won’t want to miss,” said Mark Vieth, president of Wenzel’s. “As a company we couldn’t be more excited and honored to celebrate this incredible milestone, and hopefully a new World Record.”

During the celebration, several family-friendly activities and games will be available. At night there will be free concert,

In its 75 years Wenzel’s evolved from a local meat shop to a national brand with products available in more than 8,000 retail locations. The company remains on the original farmstead, where it started producing meat products in 1949 and added an additional 8,000 square feet to the current facility in 2022.

Wenzel’s offers 14 snack stick varieties and five jerky varieties processed in small batches.
