OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. — Centrillium Protein recently broke ground on a new 112,444-square-foot meat processing plant in Midwest City, Okla., according to information from the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber.
Centrillium Protein Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Harrison selected Midwest City for its proximity to a strong workforce and access to rail service. He noted that the development wouldn’t be possible without the support of the local government and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
“This is a project we’ve been pursuing for almost two years, and it has been a pleasure to work with Centrillium and the Greater Oklahoma City Partnership in getting to this point,” said Robert Coleman, economic development director for Midwest City.
The further processing plant is expected to be completed in 2024. It will create over 100 jobs for those in Central Oklahoma.
