CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — STX Beef Co., a subsidiary of real estate development company JDH Capital LLC, announced on May 16 that it purchased Missouri Prime Beef Packers and would take over operations immediately.

The 88,000-square-foot facility, in Pleasant Hope, Mo., opened in January 2021 and processes approximately 750 cattle per day. The plant sits on 256 acres of land around 20 miles north of Springfield.

"Missouri is home to a thriving beef industry, and we will be focused on delivering reliable service and dependable products to our customers."

STX also operates a 250,000-square-foot facility that processes more than 1,000 cattle per day. The company sells a product line that features boxed beef across USDA Prime, Choice and Select ground beef, as well as export products.
