BETHEL TOWNSHIP, PA. — The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) announced details about an accidental death at the Bell & Evans poultry plant.

According to a police report, a 64-year-old woman, Modrel Songer from Valiant, Okla., was struck and run over by a semitractor-trailer on Feb. 17.

Songer died of her injuries at the scene, according to the Lebanon County Coroner’s Office.

Investigators said Songer and the driver of the vehicle were employed by a third-party company and were not Bell & Evans workers. 

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the accident.
