OTTAWA, ONTARIO – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) recently announced that it recalled Venetian Meats brand Finocchiona Salami Sweet Fennel over concerns of possible Salmonella contamination.

The agency said the recalled products were sold in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.

The recalled Venetian Meats products came in 2 kg packages and were labeled with packaging code Lot 242 2023.AU.09 with no UPC code.

CFIA said food safety test results triggered the recall. No reported illnesses have been associated with the consumption of the product.
