EL SEGUNDO, CALIF. — Doug Ramsey, former Beyond Meat chief operating officer, is officially no longer with the company.

Ramsey was suspended by the meat alternative company in September following a physical altercation at an Arkansas Razorbacks football game. Reports said Ramsey became outraged after a vehicle collision in the University of Arkansas parking garage and proceeded to leave his vehicle, punch the other man repeatedly and bite his nose.

Ramsey was arrested on charges of terroristic threatening and third-degree battery. After posting $11,085 in bond, he was released the next day.

According to a Form 8-K for Beyond Meat, Ramsey’s last day of employment with company was Oct. 14. It was not disclosed whether he resigned or was terminated.

Ramsey joined Beyond Meat as COO in December 2021 from Tyson Foods Inc. His career with Tyson began in 1992 when he worked in domestic and international business segments and later became group president of the poultry segment.
