GREELEY, COLO. – JBS USA announced on Aug. 30 that Allison Crittenden was named the company’s senior director of government affairs.

She will be based in Washington, DC, where she will join the JBS team responsible for public policy and government relations strategies. 

Before taking this position, Crittenden served as director of government affairs at the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), where she focused on immigration and other food and agriculture-related issues. 

Before her time at AFBF, Crittenden served as a senior legislative assistant for Representative Rick Crawford (R-Ark.), and as a legislative and regulatory analyst at The Russell Group. 

A native of Deltaville, Va., Crittenden has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Virginia Tech. 

The company also announced that Juriana Sperandio was named to the executive team as head of human resources. 

She will focus on the company’s HR efforts throughout the United States and Canada and be based at JBS’ North American headquarters in Greeley, Colo.

Sperandio joins JBS USA from Ventura Foods, a California-based food company. She served as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. Before working at Ventura, she spent nearly 10 years at JBS USA. She held multiple leadership roles, including head of organizational development and head of HR for North American Beef.

Sperandio has over 20 years of experience in human resources program management, strategic planning, team development, talent acquisition and retention, succession planning, organizational development, labor relations, regulatory compliance and employee relations.

She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Universidade de Cuiaba and an MBA from UNIVAG – Centro Universitario in Brazil.
