GARNER, N.C. – Butterball LLC has hired Anita Colglazier as the director of quality further processing and appointed company veteran Steve Swan complex manager at its Mt. Olive, N.C. plant.

Ms. Colglazier is responsible for quality and food safety at the Mount Olive, N.C., Kinston, N.C., Longmont, Colo., and Jonesboro, Ark. plants while Mr. Swan is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Mr. Olive plant, which processes and packages retail, foodservice, deli and ready-to-eat turkey products. He will also continue to maintain and strengthen the facility’s high-safety standards.

“We are excited to welcome Anita to Butterball and know that she will add a great deal to our team,” said Keith Shoemaker, president and chief executive officer of Butterball. “Her work over the years in operations, research and development and customer service has given her great insight into the business.”

Ms. Colglazier has worked in the food industry for more than 25 years, most recently, as a manufacturing systems engineer. She graduated from Purdue University where she majored in food science. She is a member of the Institute of Food Science, as well as the North Carolina Food Safety and Defense Task Force.

The Mt. Olive facility is Butterball’s largest processing facility and one of the largest poultry processing plants in the world.
