BUFFALO, NY. – Rosina Food Products Inc., a producer of frozen meatballs, pasta and entrees, announced on Nov. 16 its acquisition of the Mama Lucia Brand of frozen meatballs from Quaker Maid Meats Inc.

Mama Lucia products are in retailers in the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest regions of the United States, military commissaries and dollar store channels. 

“We are excited about this transaction. This acquisition is consistent with the company’s strategic plan for growth and the products are consistent with our core capabilities,” said Russell Corigliano, president and chief executive officer of Rosina Food Products.

Frank Corigliano, executive vice president of Rosina stated that the Mama Lucia brand fits into the current distribution of the company and anticipated very smooth transitions for customers of Mama Lucia. 

Other items Rosina already produces include Celentano, Italian Village Brands and Rosina throughout the United States and internationally by Rosina Food Products.

Along with the acquisition of Mama Lucia, Rosina said it is expecting to open a new protein facility in December 2021 near West Seneca, NY.
