GAINESVILLE, GA. – After working with two area poultry processing companies in a co-packing partnership, Foundation Food Group officials recently announced the acquisition of those companies, Prime-Pak Foods Inc. and Victory Processing Inc. Finalized in September, the combined companies will operate as Foundation Food Group Inc. (FFG), with Jerry Wilson continuing to serve as president and chief executive officer.

The acquired companies, based in Gainesville, include three fresh processing plants and one prepared foods facility, generating annual revenues of about $200 million and employing 1,200 workers, according to FFG. The plants manufacture fully cooked, par-fried, individually quick-frozen and marinated poultry products for national foodservice chains and retail customers.

“We’re excited to start a new chapter for Foundation Food Group, our customers, industry partners and our employees,” Wilson said. “This merger is a natural next step in our successful business growth in this industry as we continue to pursue our strategic agenda.”
