GAINESVILLE, GA. – Egg product manufacturer Almark Foods’ board of directors appointed Rick Anderson as chief executive officer on June 2. Anderson’s experience in the food business extends more than 20 years of manufacturing industry of branded, private label, and co-packed retail products. Prior to assuming the role at Almark, Anderson served as CEO at Gold Coast Bakeries.

Anderson will oversee the company’s next stage of growth and focus on leveraging Almark’s plant in Yuma, Ariz., while also expanding the manufacturing facilities in South Carolina and Tennessee. In addition, Anderson will work to develop customer relationships, increase the organization’s performance and grow the existing success of the hard-boiled and deviled egg businesses.

"Rick's experience with other successful grocery and private label brands gives him the experience he needs to continue Almark Foods' growth trajectory."

Also, Anderson’s responsibilities will include the leadership and development of Artisan Kitchens, an Almark Foods-owned business that makes high-quality, fully cooked egg bites and omelets.

Almark co-founders Don Stoner and Stanton join the company’s board of directors. Stoner and Stanton oversaw the rapid growth of Almark over the past 15 years.
