ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – A Missouri man filed an employment discrimination claim against Tyson Foods and The Hillshire Brands Co. earlier in March.

Bryson Pankau says he was physically and emotionally sexually harassed by a supervisor according to a report by the NewsPressnow.com in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Pankau also said in the lawsuit that the incidents occurred around June 2015 and continued until December 2017. He then reported the incidents to the company’s human resources department.

After that Pankau said he was told to write down and submit his complaint to human resources, but the court document alleges there was never any follow up to the complaint. Following a second attempt, Pankau said he was terminated from the company for “absenteeism.”

A Tyson Foods official said the company does not comment on pending litigation.

The trial is set for mid-May of 2020.
