ST. LOUIS –  Fayetteville, Illinois-based Deli Star Corp. was recently awarded the 2018 Top Workplaces honor by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Workplace list is based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, known for its technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey provided to all Deli Star employees measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results.”

Deli Star employs 84 people at its Fayetteville, Illinois, headquarters, Belleville, Illinois, production facility and St. Louis Innovation Center.

“My father, Dan Siegel, started Deli Star in a small shop with the goal of producing high-quality products in a fun and collaborative atmosphere,” said Deli Star President Justin Siegel. “Thirty-one years later, the environment he created continues across our three locations. It’s an honor to be recognized by our team members, and I’m happy to know they enjoy coming to work.”
