SWEDESBORO, N.J. – Wellshire Farms has partnered with the Whole Kids Foundation to launch its Sugar Free Uncured Beef Franks. Whole Kids Foundation is a nonprofit founded by Whole Foods Market with the mission of improving the nutrition of children by working with schools and communities to educate and provide access to healthy eating options.

Wellshire’s products are sold exclusively at more than 450 Whole Foods Market locations nationwide.

The new product adds to Wellshire’s existing Paleo friendly line and is free of antibiotics, growth hormones, preservatives, synthetic nitrates and nitrites, and other artificial ingredients.

“As a family-owned company, listening to the needs of our consumers and their families is a top priority,” Jessica Colameco, Wellshire’s vice president of marketing and development, said. “Hot dogs are served on kitchen tables across America, so we’re extremely proud to offer a quality product, made with clean ingredients and humanely raised, grass-fed beef.”

The new beef Franks are gluten free, minimally processed and contain 7 grams of protein per serving.

“Whether you’re a parent who is looking to reduce the amount of sugar in your child’s diet, or a millennial on a Paleo diet, these all beef franks are a convenient, natural solution," Colameco added.    This past month, Wellshire was acquired by Munster, Indiana-based Land O’Frost, a processor of sliced deli meats and sausage products.
