The new Meat Industry Summit will replace NAMI's spring and fall conferences.
The Meat Industry Summit planning committee, made up of NAMI members, alongside the NAMI Executive board has developed a conference agenda featuring both general sessions on topics relevant to the meat industry, as well as concurrent sessions on topics that affect owners, management and plant operations staff. In addition there will be closed door committee meetings to discuss policies and association business, as well as the annual Board of Directors meeting.
The summit will also feature a number of networking opportunities including the John Duyn Golf Tournament; a reception for First Timers and Ambassadors; Issues Answers and Actions Breakfast; PAC reception; and the annual Supplier Showcase and SausageFest.
“We hope that all of our members will find good reason to participate and bring your teams to take advantage of this annual event,” said Barry Carpenter, NAMI president and CEO. “While change can sometimes be difficult, we believe that this direction will improve engagement with more members. We will continue to evaluate how our organization meets the needs of our members, and continue to improve our events based on the results and feedback.”
