Topping salads with the Gold'n Plump Shakers is one of the many options that comes with its meal kits.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Consumers looking for more ideas to help with the dinner dilemma can soon look for the new Gold’n Plump Shakers line of chicken breast strip kits.

“The value-added meat category continues to grow as nearly half of consumers, particularly millennials, plan last-minute meals,” said Tracy Miller, Gold’n Plump’s director of product innovation and  management.

Gold’n Plump Shakers are made from 100 percent whole muscle, boneless, skinless chicken breast meat raised without antibiotics. Each kit features a packet of seasoned breading made with Panko breadcrumbs and flavors of savory, sweet chili, Jamaican, honey barbecue or chipotle adobo.

“Fresh, ready-to-cook chicken products offer more preparation involvement with very little extra work, plus superior quality and flavor compared to similar frozen products,” Miller said.

Each 20-oz. kit includes 16 oz. of fresh, whole muscle chicken breast strips in an easy-to-open pouch, 4 oz. of seasoned breadcrumbs, and a zip-seal bag for shaking. To prepare the meal, consumers open the kit, pour the strips and seasoned breadcrumbs together in the bag, zip shut, shake and then bake.

“Consumers who tested Gold’n Plump Shakers loved the no-touch, healthy, semi-scratch, less-mess and versatile attributes,” Miller explained.

The kits are scheduled to begin shipping in early September and will be on retail shelves by mid-September. Gold’n Plump Shakers will be sold at retail for $5.99 per 20-oz. kit. The launch will be supported with bimonthly trade promotions and consumer marketing once the products are available.
