WASHINGTON — For the second quarter of 2009, Tyson Foods Inc. spent more than $637,884 to lobby on meat labeling, tax credits and other issues, according to a recent disclosure report. The Associated Press further relayed Tyson also lobbied on the environment, ethanol, access to foreign markets, labor, immigration and other issues in the April-June period.

In addition to lobbying Congress, Tyson lobbied the departments of Agriculture, Energy and Defense, the Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Trade Representative and other agencies, according to the report filed July 20 with the House clerk's office.
