Shoney's Ranch Cheeseburger is part of the restaurant chain's Great American Burger Tribute.

NASHVILLE – The burger has always been hailed by Shoney’s, which is why the restaurant chain today announced The Great American Burger Tribute.

Shoney’s, which touts itself as “America’s Dinner Table for 67 years,” introduced the new burgers this week, featuring:

• Ranch Cheeseburger – served with hickory-smoked bacon and American cheese, and topped with Ranch dressing.

• Smokehouse Cheeseburger – topped with Swiss cheese and smoked ham.

• Sunrise Cheeseburger – topped with American cheese, smoked bacon and a fried egg.

Shoney’s markets the fact that its burgers are 6-oz. patties that are always fresh and never frozen. The new burgers are available through July 31.

“The cheeseburger is as American as the beloved Shoney’s brand,” said Shoney’s Chairman and CEO David Davoudpour. “We’re always trying to present our guests with a great value and a delicious burger. They asked for new toppings to make the All-American Burger, a guest favorite for years, even better and we did just that. The Great American Burger Tribute is all about our guests and giving them what they want.”

Davoudpour acquired Shoney’s in 2007. According to the company, his first target for the eatery’s shot in the arm was in the kitchen, where he was dedicated to improving ingredients and cooking quality food without compromising value. A big focus was Shoney’s burgers.
