SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Officials with Tyson Foods, Inc. announced on March 4 the resignation of Kathleen Bader from her position as a member of the company's board of directors, effectively immediately. Bader served on the BOD for approximately four years.
"It is with regret that I find myself unable to commit the time needed to serve on the Tyson board," said Bader, whose credentials include serving as a founding member of President George W. Bush’s Homeland Security Advisory Council. A search for Bader's replacement will begin immediately, according to Tyson.
John Tyson, chairman, said,"Our board of directors and the company have benefited from Kathleen's talent, experience and other contributions since joining our board in 2011. We appreciate her contributions and wish her well in the future."
Tyson's board members include: John Tyson, Gaurdie Banister Jr., Jim Kever, Kevin McNamara, Brad Sauer, Donnie Smith, Robert Thurber and Barbara Tyson.
