MIAMI – Carnival Corp. & plc announced it will switch to 100 percent cage-free eggs across all of its brands by 2025.

Carnival Corp. includes 10 global cruise line brands including Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn, Holland America Line, Cunard, AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, P&O UK and P&O Australia, as well as its newest brand, Fathom.


“Carnival Corporation and our brands recognize animal welfare is an important issue for our guests, and addressing it is part of our ongoing commitment to how we operate,” said Roger Frizzell, chief communications officer with Carnival Corp. “We have been working with our suppliers in this area, and look forward to continuing our efforts as we work towards our goal of 100 percent cage-free eggs.”

In October 2012, Carnival announced plans to phase out pork sourced from animals housed in gestation stalls. The company said it is working to ensure the company’s pork supply is free of gestation stalls by 2022.
