SÁO PAULO, Brazil – JBS Foods appointed Maxim Medvedovsky chief financial officer, while Wilson Mello was named communication and government relations director by JBS SA. JBS Foods is a wholly owned subsidiary of JBS SA.

Medvedovsky brings extensive experience in corporate finance to the job, according to JBS Foods. He spent 14 years at Oi Group of telecommunications, where he held several leadership positions such as chief administrative officer, chief customer officer and head of retail. He is an electrical engineer who graduated from PUC-RJ and holds an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Fundação Dom Cabral.

Mello has a law degree from PUC-SP and has more than 20 years’ experience in the legal sector. He has worked in large corporations such as Wal-Mart Brazil, where he spent four years in corporate affairs. He acted as vice president of Corporate Affairs at BRF from 2010 to 2013.
