WASHINGTON – Prime Pak Foods is recalling approximately 23,250 lbs. of fully cooked breaded chicken breast and tender products that were formulated with known allergens that were not declared on the product label, the Food Safety and Inspection Service reported. The chicken breasts and tenders were made with eggs, milk and wheat.

Gainesville, Ga.-based Prime Pak discovered the problem during the product recovery phase of a previous recall. The chicken products were distributed to hotels, restaurants and institutions nationwide. There have been no reports of illness or adverse reactions associated with the affected products.


The products were produced from June 5, 2013, to March 21, 2014. The products bear the establishment number “P-9165” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The affected products include:

• Two 5-lb. bags in a 10-lb. box of “Wegmans Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast Strips” with the product code “77064” printed on the box.
• Two 5-lb. bags in a 10-lb. box of “Wegmans Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast Strips” with the product code “77065” printed on the box.
• Two 5-lb. bags in a 10-lb. box of “Sugar Lake Farms Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Tender” with the product code “77409” printed on the box.
• Two 5-lb. bags in a 10-lb. box of “Wegmans Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast Fillets” with the product code “77425” printed on the box.
