The company processes chicken at a former Townsend Chicken plant. Carolina Premium Foods intends to retrofit 90,500 sq. ft. of facility space to ramp-up its processing capacity to 1 million birds per week, according to the company. The plant currently employs 20 workers, but plans to hire 700 additional employees in 2015.
