WASHINGTON – CS Best Foods Inc., Panorama City, Calif., recalled approximately 6, 560 lbs. of pork products after a routine label review uncovered misbranding and undeclared allergens, the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reported.

FSIS said the blood sausage products contain wheat and soy, known allergens, that were not declared on the product label. FSIS and CS Best have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the products.

The blood sausage links were produced between Aug. 28 and Oct. 17, FSIS said. Affected products include 1-lb. vacuum-packed packages containing two sausage link pieces of “A Pork Snout, Beef Blood, Rice & Noodle Link”; and 5-lb. vacuum-packed packages containing multiple sausage link pieces of “A Pork Snout, Beef Blood, Rice & Noodle Link”.

FSIS said the products bear the establishment number “EST. 40119” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These products were shipped to retail locations in California and Washington.
